Pull out the crown to the first position to set date counterclockwise(in the 6 o'clock direction). Pull out the crown to the second position to set time counterclockwise(in the 6 o'clock direction). ATTENTION: Do not set the time and date in wrong direction If your watch is completely stopped, it is recommended that you manually wind the mainspring by turning the crown. I was in the market for my son's first automatic watch. He is interested in mechanical watches and wanted one for himself. We had seen many watches online and he wanted a GMT watch with a rotating bezel. We ended up buying this watch and this is our short review. It came in a barebones box, enough to get the job done. The watch however is anything but bare bones. The dial is well finished. The markers look good. The hands are crisp and well polished. There is lume but I haven't tested it. The GMT hand stands out just enough. The crystal is sapphire and the date cyclops is not very crisp but does the job. The Bezel has some play and the action could have been better but it is still pretty amazing for the price. The insert and text are crisp. The case feels hefty in a good way. The crown screwing action is satisfactory and operation is very good. The caseback offers a view of the movement (much desired by my son) which from what I remember is a Pearl movement. Too early to say anything about it but it is running great the month we've had it. It is ok to look at. The rotor has some decoration which is pleasing. From what I've read online, they are not Seiko NH35 in terms of reliability but they aren't ad either. The bracelet has solid links and end links and tight (not super tight) tolerances. Better than expected. Resizing is easy as it has screws. The 2 tone finish is ok, the rose gold colour could have had stronger gold tones. If you are in the market for a GMT style watch, the single tone steel version of this watch is also a good buy, so is this. I suggest you come to the store once to see how it looks and feels on your wrist. It will do its job, look good while doing it and won't cost a bomb. I recommend the watch at the current price.
