AESOP Mens Luxury starry sky dial Tourbillon 7049 - Silver

Watch enthusiasts dream of seeing a Tourbillon in the flesh. Due to the difficulty in production and high cost, they are a rarity. Dream Watches is doing a fine job of making these Chinese Tourbillon watches accessible to all of us. The watch feels great in the hand. The celestial dial is a joy to look at. It shimmers like nothing else in the light. The dressy hands and markers are a nice touch. The hands are fixed to the centre of the dial which isn't the case with some other Tourbillon watches which fix the hands above the centre of the dial to make room for the large window. The Sapphire crystal has resisted scratches till now (over a month of daily usage) but a con is that there is no AR coating anywhere on it. The case is thick due to the movement, sits well on the wrist, barely making it under the cuff in my case, YMMV. It has elegant curves and is polished well. The crown is big and is a joy to operate. The feedback it offers is good. The caseback gives a nice view of the well finished manual wind movement. The centerpiece of attention is the rotating Tourbillon on full display through the large window at 6 o'clock position. It is mesmerising to look at and rotates once per minute, doing the job of a rough seconds hand as well. I have found myself staring at it for far longer than a sane person should. You literally see the measuring of time unfold in front of your eyes. The finishing and polishing is good, not excellent but you can't ask for more at this price. Coming to another con, the strap is strictly ok and though I haven't replaced mine, I may replace it soon with a Navy Blue Crocodile strap. I'm not a fan of butterfly clasps on leather so I've got that replaced with a good old buckle.
Overall, if you are a watch nerd, you know you NEED this watch. If you already have one, enjoy it.
